Our Team

Donald is an expert in optimizing tax savings by structuring and strategizing for his clients. He previously worked as an IRS agent but soon after took over the family practice. Donald and his wife, Amy, live in American Fork with their three children. They have served on the National Board for Families Supporting Adoption. Him and his family enjoy humanitarian projects, especially abroad, and BYU sports.

Nathan is highly skilled in maximizing tax savings for his clients through tailored advice and strategic maneuvers. He has a master’s degree from Utah State University. He worked as an IRS auditor, where he and Donald met. He and his wife have 6 wonderful children. In his free time he enjoys playing golf and boating.

Caleb specializes in small to medium sized business taxes and tax planning. Caleb has his Bachelor of Science from the University of Oregon and advanced degree from the University of Utah. He, his wife, and their 4 kids enjoy traveling, service opportunities, and all kinds of outdoor sports.

Owen is an expert in researching and learning new tax laws to increase client tax savings and has been with DBN Tax for several years. He received his Bachelor of Accounting from Brigham Young University – Idaho. Owen and his wife have two sons. In his free time Owen enjoys hunting, fishing, and skiing.

Tanner enjoys solving a variety of tax problems and working to give the best tax saving advice. He graduated with a Bachelor of Finance from Brigham Young University – Idaho and earned his Master of Finance degree from the University of Utah. Tanner and his wife, Sarah, enjoy watching sports and being outdoors with their son.

Hunter’s passion is to help clients optimize their tax savings. He loves meeting new people and sharing his knowledge. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Utah State University. Hunter and his wife, Izzie, enjoy traveling and watching sports. He also likes going on walks with his dog and golfing.

Kelsi has worked in the finance industry for 15+ years. She enjoys building relationships with clients to best assist them in their payroll needs. Kelsi loves all things Disney and enjoys traveling to Disneyland with her husband and kids.

Lauren is very passionate about helping others and solving problems. With 10+ years of experience in various positions in hotels from breakfast attendant to manager, she has learned many ways to solve complaints and issues that arise in various types of situations. In her spare time, she likes to travel and she also crews for hot air balloon teams.

Ashley is accomplished and goal-driven. She has 15+ years experience in management, supervision and office administration. She is a previous owner, manager, and general manager in hospitality. Ashley loves outdoor activities of any kind however, fall weather is her favorite. She also enjoys hosting events and spending time with family.

Makayla enjoys working and helping clients as our Salt Lake City office manager. Outside of the office, she loves to help others in any way possible. Makayla worked as a CNA for three years. She has a goal down the road to become a nurse to continue pursuing her love of helping others. In her spare time she loves to read books and ride horses.

Originally from Hawai'i, Sadria embodies the warmth and spirit of the islands in all that she does. She values care, respect, and community, and is deeply committed to helping and serving others. With a positive spirit and a heart for connection, she takes pride in creating meaningful experiences and making people feel cared for and valued. Guided by integrity and compassion, Sadria strives to make a lasting impact through her work and the relationships she builds. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new foods and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Jacob is passionate when it comes to going above and beyond for his clientele and is focused on making their tax experiences as smooth as they come. Jacob graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Florida State University and now enjoys all the skiing, fishing, and unlimited adventures that the mountains offer.

Katie cares deeply for each client’s experience. She loves the challenges that each person’s situation presents and strives to ensure the best outcomes possible. She attained a bachelor’s in American Sign Language and Accounting and has gone on to study for her master’s degree in taxation. She loves playing percussion and piano, and reading with her son.

Zach graduated from Utah Valley University with his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Zach is a huge fan of all sports, with his favorites being football, basketball, and Formula 1. He loves traveling and visiting his family in Canada. Zach also loves riding horses, four-wheeling, hiking, fishing, and just being outdoors. In his free time he enjoys running, and eventually wants to run an ultra marathon.

Connor graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. When he is not helping clients to make the most of their tax savings you can find him fishing, hiking and exploring the beautiful outdoors that Utah has to offer. Being from South Africa he also loves rugby.

Jamie grew up in Alabama and graduated from Brigham Young University–Idaho with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. She enjoys solving complex tax puzzles and getting to know her clients on a personal level. Outside the office, Jamie loves trying new recipes, listening to audiobooks, and catching up on her favorite shows.

Jacob loves to establish and foster good ties with his co-workers and people he meets, and he is deeply creative in how he deals with problem-solving. He attended Utah Valley University with a major in Creative Writing, and has had multiple jobs working in customer service. He enjoys reading fantasy and sci-fi books in his free time, and even likes to write his own stories.

Alisa has been with DBN Tax for a number of years and loves working with her clients to set up and maintain our accounting systems. She and her husband have four kids and one new daughter in law. She loves to spend time with them! She also enjoys reading, hiking, baking, and traveling in her spare time.

Anne received a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and has 15+ years of experience in accounting. She enjoys putting the pieces of the accounting puzzle together to create financial reports that help businesses grow. Anne and her husband, David, have 5 sons and they love to travel to see them and their grandkids. In her spare time, Anne likes to walk, read mystery novels and watch mystery tv shows.

Kim enjoys working in accounting and takes pride in helping clients ensure their financial records are accurate and well-managed. She holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Utah Valley University. She is pursuing a second Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Western Governors University. Outside of work, Kim cherishes time spent with her four children and adorable granddaughter.

Kenzie is a detail oriented person, which helps greatly in providing assistance to clients with their payroll compliance needs. She has been on the payroll team for 3+ years. When she is not thinking about payroll, Kenzie enjoys playing the xbox, sewing, and traveling with her little family.
